Agent

A supported AI coding or work agent used by an employee, such as Codex or Claude Code.

Agent integration

The connection between the Gesta runtime and a supported AI agent on an employee machine.

Codex Desktop

The macOS Codex application. Gesta reports it separately from the Codex command-line integration and includes its application version in machine details.

Approval

An Owner decision required before a command matched by an Operational Policy can continue.

Context Rule

A managed company standard that Gesta supplies to matching employee prompts. A rule includes its status, agent scope, trigger, context, and priority. Context Rules live in the Organization Library.

Employee

A person using an enrolled AI agent. In organization access management, this person normally has the Member role.

Evidence

Information Gesta records about an agent session or protection outcome that can help an employee or Owner understand what happened.

Finding

A recorded match produced by a Sensitive Data rule or detector.

MCP

Model Context Protocol, a way an AI agent can discover and use tools provided by an MCP server.

My Activity

An employee's trailing 30-day view of supported sessions, usage, work mix, tools, safeguards, and available evidence.

Member

The standard organization role for an employee who connects machines and reviews their own activity.

Operational Policy

A rule that matches a known command pattern and applies a configured outcome, such as warn, require approval, or block.

Output classification

Organization-managed file suffixes and filenames that determine which successful file writes count as code output. Unmatched files count as Other, and historical events are not reclassified.

Organization

The Gesta workspace that contains members, enrolled machines, rules, settings, and organization activity.

Organization Library

The body of company knowledge Gesta supplies to enrolled agents, made up of Context Rules. The Console, this documentation, and gesta.run all use this name.

Owner

An organization role that can manage organization-wide membership, configuration, safeguards, approvals, and activity views.

Runtime

The Gesta software installed on an employee machine to connect supported agents to the organization experience.

Recap

An outcome-oriented daily summary generated from compacted, evidence-backed session content. My Recap is personal; Team Recap is available to Owners.

Sensitive Data rule

A rule that inspects prompt content for a configured pattern and records, warns, or blocks a match.

Session

A period of work observed from a supported employee agent, with available activity, usage, tools, checks, and evidence.

Token Efficiency

A directional comparison between agent model usage and the output Gesta observes. It should be interpreted in the context of the work performed.

Trigger

The condition that determines when a Context Rule applies, such as every prompt, keywords, or a regular expression.

Work type

A category used to summarize the kind of work observed in a session, such as implementation, investigation, or documentation.
